Bachata Intermediate: Puzzle Mindset

Drop-in, Combo Class. For dancers who have mastered the fundamentals and want to explore how simple elements can create complex, expressive movement. This class focuses on layering improver-level techniques into creative combinations that challenge your creativity and deepen your understanding of bachata. You’ll train your eye and body to recognize patterns, transitions, and how to craft movement with more clarity, flow and intention. Registration required! Prerequisites: This class is best suited for students familiar with body isolations, waves, body rolls, musicality, cambres, head rolls, rompes and transitions between dance positions. You should have improver-level experience and a solid understanding of timing, connection points and partnerwork.

Bachata Upper Intermediate
Tuesdays, 20:30 – 21:30

Closed Group, Technique Course. This class is designed for students who have mastered intermediate-level figures and are looking to push their skills further. This closed group format ensures progress without disruptions, allows you to practice intermediate skills in more complex combinations and challenging settings. A solid grasp of intermediate techniques is required and the level will be enforced to ensure safety. Registration required! Join our Whatsapp group to ensure a partner (DM for link). Prerequisites: For this class, you should have mastered body isolations, waves, head rolls and cambres. You must perform dips and tricks with control and understand musicality, partner connection and body mechanics. This class is for those confident in applying intermediate techniques in more intricate combinations and partnerwork.

Bachata Improver (A2)
Wednesdays, 19:30 – 20:30

Closed Group, Technique Course. For those who have already mastered beginner-level bachata, this class adds more elements of bachata sensual, focusing on isolations, body movement, and musicality. You’ll work on partner connection, free steps, and musical interpretation. The closed group format ensures consistent progress with the same peers. Pre-registration required. Partnerwork class—find a partner via our Whatsapp group  “Find a LOCA Partner.” If you cannot attend the first week but can commit to the remaining weeks, reach out.

Prerequisites: For this class, class, you should already be comfortable with basic step variations, turns from different positions, basic musicality, connection points, bolero variations, rompes and other movements for smoothly transitioning between dance positions.
